“3 x 3 New Media Fix(es) on Turbulence”; was commissioned by Turbulence, with the support of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), to recognize the ten year anniversary of their NetArt archive. While the organization is US based, it is nevertheless international in representation and following. To recognize that moment in their existence, they commissioned three critical texts reflecting on various aspects of their archive. As a media designer I was challenged to create a publication sistem suitable for electronic and print dissemination worldwide. The texts were published in three languages: English, Spanish and Italian. The group of collaborators span from the Americas to Europe and included media critics, editors and translators. Since the original language in which the essays were written varied, I chose to give even weight to all languages as well as continuously juxtapose them for further enhancement of the international nature of the project. At the end he project was released as mini web portal directing the reader to HTML and/or PDF format versions of the texts. Upon its publication, the project was received extremely well by the intended audience of media critics, net artists and related institutions and considered a model for publishing such work.
